new jersey has figured out how to protect the second amendment and making people safer and new york has as well. >> will these things fly in georgia and atlanta? >> first of all, i think you need to start the conversation by respecting the second amendment so that we don't have a discussion about the second amendment. so we respect that in georgia and value it. the second part, i think, really is the path laid by ronald regan. the most important bill that ronald regan worked on after he was president was the assault ban and the brady bill. the nra fought him tooth and nail -- they fought ronald reagan on the brady bill and on the assault-ban bill which ewe allowed to lapse. the other thing is, we can't miss this moment. everybody around this table knows if 20 children are killed and we don't get a bill now, we're never going to get it so i agree with the governor. hooirs absolutely right, which is why i'm here this morning. we have to develop a strategy, through the month of january, to keep the national attention focused on this issue, so they don't, as the governor said, rope-a-dope.
